About our Principal

Via WRL Consultants, Bill’s expertise has evolved into providing effective consulting to firms within the design and construction industry as well as leading intensive coaching and training to the staff at these firms. Focusing on topics incorporating strategic planning, organizational management, business development, firm leadership, and project management, Bill’s passion is positioning firms and individuals for a successful future.

Bill is also an Adjunct Professor in Drexel University’s College of Engineering where he teaches courses entitled Project and Firm Management and Selling and Negotiating to the next generation of AEC leaders. He has also been a guest lecturer at Penn State University and Virginia Tech. In addition, he has developed and facilitated programs on Project Management, Pricing & Negotiation, and Seller/Doer Skills in the AEC industry.

An active member of the AEC community, Bill has been a featured speaker at multiple industry presentations and has also served as a panelist for a number of panel discussions focusing on the building industry. He has presented at regional and national functions for AIA, ACEC, AGC, CMAA, ASLA, SDA, National Facilities Management and Technology Conference, ASC, CSI, Construction Marketing Research Council, ISPE, and SMPS.

He has authored numerous articles and columns for various building industry publications including A/E Rainmaker, The Marketer, Principals Report, and New York Construction. In addition, Bill was the lead author and researcher for the Fellows Report published by the SMPS Foundation and also authored a White Paper for that organization entitled International Success in the A/E/C World – Benchmarks and Best Practices. He has also been quoted or profiled in Engineering News-Record, Building Design + Construction, Principals Report, The ZweigLetter, Professional Services Management Journal, Mid-Atlantic Construction, A/E Marketing Journal, New York Construction, and MarketingNow.

Bill is a Fellow in the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) and is the recipient of the Honoring Legends Award from SMPS’s Philadelphia chapter. He is also a Past-Trustee and Past-President of the SMPS Foundation. Bill is a member of the Board of Directors for the Carpenters’ Company of Philadelphia and a past Vice President and member of the Board of Directors for Penn State’s Alumni Society of Architectural Engineers. He is also a lifetime member of Tau Beta Pi, the Engineering Honor Society and an honorary member of Sigma Lambda Chi, the International Construction Honor Society.
